THREE Spanish wines were chosen among the best, by the outstanding wine critic Eric Asimov of The New York Times.
Madrid’s Granito de Cadalso, Grancanario Fronton de Oro and Cadiz Vara and Pulgar in the top 20 best wines for less than EUR 20.
Granito de Cadalso is made from grapes grown on granite slopes west of Madrid. Referred to as “living and full of life” the bottle is less than 17 €.
The grapes that make up the Grancanario Fronton de Oro are grown in uphigh vineyards in the Canary Islands. The bottle is just over € 15 and recommended for red meats such as lamb.
Cadiz Vara and Pulgar are the most expensive Spanish wines on the list, which cost just over € 17. It comes from the Andalusian region of Cadiz, an area more known for cherry than for wine. A juicy but intense aroma complements the hearty meat or stews.
Try it for yourself! Cheers!
